WSCI Membership Meeting - Middleton, Wisconsin
May 5, 2017
The next WSCI membership meeting will take place on Friday, May 5th!! Our day will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a tour of GL Dairy Biogas, located at 7167 Schneider Rd., Middleton, Wisconsin.
The GL Dairy Biogas facility is a unique public/private partnership which processes organic waste streams from many industries including several southern Wisconsin cheese and dairy plants, as well as cow manure from three local farms. This community digester converts the waste into renewable electricity to power approximately 2,000 homes, while improving Dane County waterways by capturing over 70% of the phosphorus for composting and exporting. The $14M facility has been operating successfully for over three years, and an expansion is planned which will convert remaining liquid to clean water for discharge to a nearby creek.
At the conclusion of the tour, we will travel to the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board (WMMB) where we will hold our membership meeting. An agenda is attached.
Please submit your RSVP for this informative tour, meeting and networking lunch by completing and returning the attendance verification information below (indicate any guests you may be bringing) no later than Tuesday, May 2nd via email to email@example.com, or by calling 262.740.2180 with your information.
