The next WSCI membership meeting will take place on Friday, November 3rd at Nasonville Dairy (https://www.nasonvilledairystore.com/). We will begin the day with a tour at 10:00 a.m. of the plant, followed by the membership meeting that will start at approximately 11 a.m.
Nasonville Dairy was founded in 1885 and is the oldest plant in Wood County. In 1965, Arnie and Rena Mae and their sons, Ken, Kalvin and Kim Heiman began making cheese and today, three generations of the Heiman family remain true to the art of cheesemaking. Their commitment to quality has won them many awards for their products made by their talented craftsmen including Master Cheesemaker, Ken Heiman.
As with other incredible Wisconsin cheesemakers, cheese is Nasonville Dairy's passion. Their varieties include the favorites such as Cheddar, Colby, Monterey Jack, to specialties like Omega 3, Asiago, Feta, and their new Blue Marble Jack and Blue Marble Cheddar-Blue.
On a side note, the Heiman Families will be co-hosting the 2018 Farm Technology Days July 10-12 in Wood County.
