WSCI MEETING & ANNUAL PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT
Friday, February 15th at the Chula Vista Resort in the Wisconsin Dells!
The next WSCI membership meeting is scheduled for Friday, February 15 at the Chula Vista Resort, 2501 River Road, Wisconsin Dells, WI, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Following a brief business meeting, we have planned an exciting and informative program for you!
Lindsay Christians, food editor at The Capital Times in Madison and host of The Corner Table food podcast will moderate a panel discussion titled, "Cheese Cafe: What's on the Menu?". Three culinary pros will share insights on menu trends and what's hot in cheese varieties and applications. Panelists include:
• Justin Carlisle, chef/owner of Ardent, Red Light Ramen and Laughing Taco in Milwaukee and a 2018 James Beard finalist for Best Chef: Midwest;
• Quinn Adkins, menu development director at Culver's Franchising System; and
• Peter Testory, director of dining and culinary services - UW Madison
Mary Felton, Founder and President of HR Business Partners will conduct the late morning session and offer insights to:
• Employment law updates/ trends
• Attendance Policies in relation to unemployment compensation
• #METOO movement and EEOC's response
• Perks trends and evolution of where they are going
Following lunch, the afternoon session will feature a motivational presentation by world-renowned Rudy Ruettiger. Daniel Eugene "Rudy" Ruettiger played college football at the University of Notre Dame. His early life and career at Notre Dame were the inspiration for the 1993 film Rudy. In addition to speaking and co-authoring several books, Mr. Ruettiger has appeared in numerous media outlets and has received many prestigious honors. He also founded the Rudy Foundation which was created to help children of all ages reach their full potential. The organization develops and maintains programs that impact the lives of children in cognitive, emotional, physical, and spiritual ways.

The event is free for WSCI members and $75 per person for non-members.
